"Ever since the West was won, campfire cooks have known how good a spicy tomato sauce tasted over broiled meat. Here's an updated version with a special touch from Del Monte."

Hamburgers Rancheros

4 slices bacon, snipped
1 15 oz. can Del Monte Tomato Sauce
1/2 tsp. chili powder
1/2 tsp. garlic powder
2 TB. instant minced onion
1/4 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
15 pitted green olives
1 1/2 lbs. ground beef

Cook bacon and drain. Reserve 2 TB. of drippings. Mix together in saucepan: tomato sauce, chili powder, garlic powder, onion, salt and pepper. Simmer 15 minutes. Halve the olives. Form beef into 4 patties and broil. Top with sauce, olives and bacon pieces.
