Curb Alert !!!

Very tempting. But, I don't need another project grill right now.

Those things are actually tanks. BUT, there are a couple weak spots. One that black painted back panel. It is not porcelain it's powder coat steel. And if you use the rotisserie much they rust away as the paint does not stand up well to the heat. Oddly though even the rack that holds the ceramic tiles is stainless steel, as is the fire box. IDK what they were thinking with the back panel. And the burners are made of cast iron and they rust, flake and clog up. Though cast SS ones are available. But, otherwise they cook like a dream. One other oddity. The cooking grates are cast iron clad in stainless steel. And I have seen examples of those grates that literally "explode". IDK how but they do. IDK of any full stainless ones available. But IIRC it matches up pretty closely to a Genesis in size
Also Costco has brand new Genesis II models with the sear burner and all that. Marked down to $699. Much as I hate those versions of a Genesis, even I could be tempted there

What is this? I can’t say I’ve seen this before.

Edit: the side tables with the handles

Platinum II. Great grill. I just finished one up and the buyer is driving 5-1/2 from Maine to Upstate NY to pick it up. If you build it, they will come…..

Hard to make out from the pic..... but with the grate falling into the cookbox I'd be concerned about it being bowed out.

That’s literally a mile from me.
I might even know that person. Name is very familiar.
