Paint to fix small rust area on hunter green lid

I have a dark green performer that is about 5 years old. I just discovered a small spot along the lip where it is starting to rust. The porcelain must have gotten chipped. I have no Idea how. What is the best way to deal with this?

    Labor Day Rib Cook

I smoked 3.4 lbs baby back ribs on my 14.5 WSM. Used B&B charlogs and 10 B&B briquettes to bring up to 250F. Smoked with a mixture of apple, cherry, and peach. Had about 5 cups of water in the water pan. Smoked for 3 hr unwrapped seasoned with garlic powder and a little black pepper, 1.5 hr...

    Ribeye and burgers

Grilled some burgers for my wife and daughter. Ribeye for myself as they won't eat steak. About 4 minutes on one side and 3.5 on the other. I wanted medium rare but turned out medium but it was juicey and not at all tough.

    Bowl repair

I recently posted that I will be getting a new bowl from Weber. Once I replace the bowl I will be giving the old bowl to another family member who's kettle is in far worse shape. What is the best way to repair the damage to the porcelain? The chip is very small but over time I suspect it will rust.

    Excellent Weber Customer Service

I just wanted to share my experience with Weber customer service. I have a performer which I purchased new in 2017. Yesterday was cleaning out all the gunk at the bottom of the bowl and I noticed a small chip in the porcelain. The chip was less than the size of a dime and maybe 1/64-1/32 of an...

Temperature Observation between grommet and top cooking grade

I've been using my 14.5 WSM for almost a year now. It gave me something new to play with since the pandemic started. Since I started using it I always monitored the WSM temperature through the grommet by sticking my Thermoworks smoke air probe through the single hole. Recently I cut a notch on...

    Odd Boston Butt

I've been smoking boston butt on my 14.5 WSM since last summer and today I discovered something odd when pulling it. The bone which is usually large and roughly fist size was about the size of my thumb and and shaped like a potato wedge. It didn't order a boneless butt and there was no strings...
