Concerned my Weber Crafted Griddle is not seasoning correctly

Repeat until you have a nice even color, go slowly, don’t rush it the reward for taking a LOT of time getting the surface even is years of trouble free use.

A better cover for the Performer in an environment of wind and rain by the ocean?

I’ve been thinking about this potential “wind up the skirt” issue and it’s completely valid concern! I apologize for the flippant answer in my previous post. Can you install come grommets to the lower edge and lash the cover down in Severe weather? I got some of these and am doing just that...

    Kingsford Professional @ Costco

No, I doubt that, this is a regular thing this time of year. But the Kirkland is pretty decent with the cooks I’ve used it for, nothing low and slow yet but, I’m thinking ribs this weekend.

What are you cooking for Smoke Day?

Ive had an itch for some ribs for several weeks. And since I’m having to cancel the J.W. Birthday, too many irons in the fire around the plantation. It will be just a couple of friends and a sort of potluck. I will do ribs, smoked polish wrapped with bacon (Thanks Timothy!) brisket dip (Costco)...

New Advice - First Overnight Brisket

I usually start mine about 19:00 or so, light the fire button it up back the real vents down to about 1/3-1/4 and go to bed. Auto Wake around 06:00 (normal time) check the remote and go down and add a few coals (I use a fireplace shovel) if neccessary, and make coffee. Sometimes they don’t play...

    The actual color.

We need to figure out a “piggy back” shipping system from one member to another to help alleviate some of the shipping costs to places like IPE. Someone in Detroit gets it here while they are going somewhere close, then I take it to someone nearer Chicago, they take it to Peoria (or somewhere)...
