    Today at Costco

Apparently it's a delicious dessert. Someone writes, "Shredded chicken in slightly sweet paste and pastry shell." I guess the chicken is shredded so finely that it's almost like cotton candy floss.

    Wsm vent replacement

To address the rusting out problem, buy replacement stainless steel nuts and bolts. They should resist rust much longer. But I know the problem you're speaking off with too tight or too loose. The original vents are riveted with tubular aluminum rivets which are nice and snug and fill the holes...

Tell me again how they don't smoke?

What’s funny to me is that I think Bob’s steak and Darian’s steak and Brett’s ribeyes all look delicious and I’d enjoy any one of them! 😋 A good sear is all I need to enjoy something. I’ve read the articles from Meathead about searing and how it’s got to cover the entire surface—no sexy grill...

Tell me again how they don't smoke?

To me, SEEING smoke is not the measure of things, it's rather the QUALITY OF SMOKE & INTENSITY OF SMOKE FLAVOR produced. This is the thing about smoke flavor, for some people just a kiss of smoke flavor is perfect, while for others they want a more intense smoke flavor. And I can guarantee that...

Weber Slate commercial on Food Network

In addition to the Weber Searwood commercial I mentioned in another post, I've also noticed Weber is running a 15 second Slate griddle commercial on Food Network. Great to see them putting some money into TV advertising. It's a short version of this video:

Yes, the TV commercial is a shortened version of the longer one linked above.

    Searwood commercial on Food Network

Today I noticed that Weber has started running Searwood commercials on the Food Network. Can't find a link to the commercial, but it's good to see that Weber is putting some advertising dollars behind this new product.

What are you cooking for Smoke Day?

I'm thinking about beef chuck short ribs, haven't done them in a long time. How about you?

Smokefire no longer available on Weber.com

For a while, SmokeFire was listed on Weber.com as "Last Call" or a similar phrase, indicating it was your last chance to buy from remaining inventory.

Anyone have an electric lawn mower?

I've been a subscriber for almost 40 years and have found their ratings very helpful on numerous occasions for many product categories. Are they perfect in every review for every product category? Of course not, but if that's the measure they should have given up in 1936 and stopped trying. As...

They're going straight from basket to mouth! :D First of the season, maybe we'll do something more significant with another batch later.

Does this look right on my Genesis 5000?

I can't see the gauge pointer in this Genesis 5 photo from https://tvwbb.com/docs/1990-weber-genesis-brochure.pdf, but I'm pretty sure it's between the frame and the side table.
