I think this is how it goes with a lot of people buying into the griddle craze. Not everyone, but a lot of them. Bought last summer at Sam's Club. I know the flat top needs to be cleaned, oiled, reseasoned. I just don't use enough to keep this up. Works great just not for me. $150.00 your gain...

That is a good question. I am pretty sure it is a "black" and probably a Semi-gloss black. Could be Satin, but that is probably just the fact all the Weber grills of that era are 20 years old or older.

I beleive the orifice is accessed from the top side of the burner. Remove the diffuser and you should see it under that.
