Another unicorn Platinum. Those are fine grills. I rehabbed on previously. But like the other muscle bound platinum, you have to be careful because they didn't make a lot of those and some parts are tough to come by.

Why not swap the cookbox with a 1000 - 5000 cookbox ? Parts issue solved

I think one was late 90's and the other was early 2000's

13 bar one was 2000's and 5 bar was late 90's IIRC.

That is correct. I've had several of both of those style grilles and the older late 90s model pictured at top is a 13 bar box like the 1000-5000 series Genesis.
The early 2000-2001 model is a unique 5 bar tall height Flavorizer Bar model.
Both are great grilles.

Just the opposite Bruce. The unique "batwing" 2000-2001 grill was the 5 bar model.
