I’ve went back and fourth. Had and loved the 22” for years and then decided to go propane and I just didn’t enjoy propane cooking so back to charcoal. When cooking on the 22” I always felt it was bigger than I needed and felt I was wasting coal so deep down I know the 18”JJ should/will work...
Well I decided on the Jumbo Joe route, I’m dealing with health issues and can’t eat as much grilled food so we will be cooking smaller portions anyway. When the time comes that I need more space I’ll add a 22 to go along with it.
Picked up a Smokey Joe coal grate to play with getting the coals...
Well I borrowed a Jumbo Joe today and quickly realized it’s not for me and my current needs. We are gonna get another 22”.
Now if we ever start camping like we want to I’d definitely own a Jumbo Joe.

One thing I didn’t say is: I need a portable grill but only in the aspect of I need to be able to carry (not roll) it from the patio to the shed, it will never go camping or even take a ride in the truck.

So I was gonna get a Jumbo Joe and then stumbled across the Go-Anywhere, I love the shape and design of the Go-Anywhere but I’m concerned it’s gonna be on the small size for me.
Given the shape and size difference of each, is the extra space of Jumbo Joe useable space or not so much? My goal is...
I generally always use indirect side to move food around while cooking.
For the most part I’ll be cooking 4 burgers OR 3 ribeyes both of those cook fast enough that if I need to split the cook in 2 batches I can.
Now I’m torn on going with the Jumbo Joe or the Go-Anywhere, gonna try to look at...
